Gibson  Farm

Raising quality registered Nigerian Dwarf & Alpine Dairy Goats since 2009

Site Updated Last 9/19/2021

Sales Policy

Gibson Farm will only sell goats in pairs, unless you already have goats. Goats are herd animals and need companions. We care a great deal about our goats and want them to have happy, healthy homes. We strive to find the goat that fits our buyers needs.

All kids will be disbudded, tattooed, dewormed and vaccinated for CD/T before leaving our farm. If purchasing a bottle baby buyer is responsible for administering CD/T and booster. We use a coccidia prevention in the form of medicated feed for all of our kids.  All kids are bottle raised.  Kids must be picked up by 3 weeks of age.  There will be an additional charge if we keep the kids until 8 weeks of age.

Gibson Farm reserves the right to retain any goat born on our farm. If you have any questions about our sales policy, please contact us and we would be glad to assist you. Gibson Farm terms and conditions are subject to change without notice. We sell our goats on a first come, first serve basis. If you want to purchase one of our goats please contact us to place a deposit on the goat.

Pricing

ADGA Registered Nigerian Dwarf price start at $400.

ADGA Registered Alpines start at $350.

Wethers $150 each.

Our prices reflect the quality and potential of our goats. We have invested a lot into building a quality herd with great production and correct conformation.  If you are looking to purchase a "cheap" goat, either buy a wether or look elsewhere.  We do not sell $50 goats.  We hand raise our kids on a bottle to make sure they love people and are friendly.  It also makes milk testing easier each month.  Our does show their true milk potential.  Dam raising artificially inflates milk numbers.

Deposit/Payment

Once you select your goat, a $100 deposit per goat is required to hold your goat(s) until pick up.  Bottle babies must be picked up by 3 weeks old, unless other arrangement's have been made with us.  Any goat not picked up by the pre set date or weaning will be charged $5 per day boarding fee.  Any goat not picked up after 30 days of pick up date will result in all deposits being forfeited and the goat being put back up for sale. When we have received a deposit on a goat it will be marked as "Sale Pending". We will accept a check for the deposit as long as it is 10 business days until the pick up date. Final payment must be made in cash at the time of pick up.

All deposits are non-refundable.

Registration

Our Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats are registered with ADGA and some AGS. Our Alpines are registered with ADGA. Kids are sold with the registration applications for ADGA. It is the buyers responsibility to pay the registration and transfer fees. Adults are sold with the certificate and bill of sale. It is the buyers responsibility to pay the transfer fee and put the goat into their name. A goat must be in your name to register any kids born on your farm.

Adult Sales

Gibson Farm will hold an adult or already weaned goat for one week while you make transportation arrangements. If transportation is going to take longer than 2 weeks we ask for half of the purchase price to be paid as a deposit. No animal will be held for longer than one week without a deposit.  No animal can leave until paid for in full.

Testing

Our purchased herd members over 6 months old have tested negative for CAE, CL, Johnes and Brucellosis. We have done some TB testing for those that have purchased from us with the results being negative. If you would like your goats tested before you pick them up we are happy to do so. Buyer is responsible for all costs associated with testing requested. Buyer must pay for the testing before it will be done.

Shipping/Health Certificates

Buyer is responsible for all transport fees and arrangements when using an independent transport service. We will do our best to accommodate the transporter but make no guarantees. Buyer is responsible to know the interstate shipping requirements for the states being traveled. The cost of Health Certificates, as well as any other testing requested by the buyer, is the responsibility of the buyer. Please, let us know in advance if you need a Health Certificate as it requires a vet visit. It must be paid for before we will schedule it.

All fees must be paid before the goat(s) can leave our farm.

Guarantee

We guarantee our goats are healthy when they leave us. We do not have control over what happens once they leave our farm and make no guarantees once they have left our property. Once an animal leaves our farm it can not be returned, due to bio security.
